Wokingham Town Mobility
Open to anyone who has difficulty walking
Let our scooters do the walking
Wokingham Town Mobility aims to help anybody with walking difficulties to get around Wokingham Town Centre with ease. You don't need to be a Blue Badge holder or a Wokingham resident to use the scheme.
Members pay a small membership fee to join which lets them book a scooter to get them around town as often as they like, during weekdays. (This scheme can be extended to keep the scooters over the weekend in exceptional circumstances.)
How does the scheme work?
Scheme members simply book a scooter, which is then delivered to you either in the Town Centre or to your home, if it is nearby.
When you have finished we will collect the vehicle at an agreed time and place.
To register for the scheme call Tracey Hedgecox on 0118 977 0332 or email - wokinghamtownmobility@googlemail.com
We no longer hire out wheelchairs. If you wish to hire a wheelchair, please contact the Red Cross on 0118 978 9008.
Wokingham Town Mobility is funded by Wokingham Town Council and supported by donations from Michael Hardy, Luff Investments and Wokingham Lions.
